Carol Long is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. She received her Master of Art in Counseling from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2002 and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1996. She has experience in treating a variety of psychiatric disorders including: depression, bipolar, anxiety/panic/trauma, OCD, Schizophrenia, substance abuse, grief/loss and borderline personality disorder. Carol has a special interest in working with families who are currently dealing with various stages of Alzheimer’s disease and aging issues. Carol will work with children from the ages 10 years and up, adults in individual or family sessions, and group therapy.
Carol uses a variety of therapeutic techniques, (for example: motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, solution focus, along with psycho-education, etc.,) to assist the client move through the process of change.
