Dr. Adelita Segovia obtained her medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Asuncion, Paraguay in 1991. She completed her internship in Pediatrics at Kansas University School of Medicine in 1993 and her psychiatry residency training at Washington University School of Medicine in 1996. In 1998, Dr. Segovia completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine. She is board certified in general psychiatry.
Dr. Segovia has been in private practice since completing her fellowship and continues to actively participate in the education of medical students and supervision of child and adolescent fellows. Dr. Segovia is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine. She has been recognized by her peers as one of the “Best Doctors in America” for the past several years.
