Melissa is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor and a School Psychological Examiner. She has been in private practice for over 25 years and has been the owner of Learning Consultants for 19 years. Melissa specializes in Psycho-Educational Evaluations, Learning Style Evaluations, ADD/ADHD Evaluations, Gifted Testing, School Consultations, and Parent Consults.
Melissa believes in looking at the educational strengths and building upon those to strengthen the child’s weaknesses. She also looks at the emotional and behavioral piece and how that may be affecting a child’s learning and performance in school. After the testing is complete Melissa meets with the parents to discuss the results and then will also go to the school to meet with the child’s teachers. Melissa accepts private pay but will file an insurance HCFA form to assist the client in getting reimbursed. Melissa is a member of the American Psychotherapy Association as well as the Missouri Learning Disabilities Association.
