Susan, a therapist for over twenty-five years, is certified in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Model, a state-of-the-art therapy for helping the complicated client and not-so-complicated client gain the ability to emotionally self-regulate and improve quality of life. Susan trained with the State of Illinois Group in the 1990’s.
Her experiences include working in community mental health, both in- and out-patient chemical dependency, working with Catholic religious providing intensive treatment of anxiety disorders and weight management, teaching at both the university and community colleges levels, and career development. Susan often draws on her experiences and expertise as a former school teacher.
Susan accepts most types of insurance and offers evening hours.
