Dr. Montani graduated from Harvard University before earning his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis in 1996. He then completed his residency training in psychiatry at Washington University and served as Chief Resident in 2000. He completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the Isaac Ray Center and Rush University in Chicago, Illinois the following year and practiced psychiatry in Illinois for twelve years before joining Clayton Behavioral in 2013. He is board certified in general psychiatry as well as the subspecialty of forensic psychiatry, and he has an adjunct faculty appointment to Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Montani is an experienced provider for a wide variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and addictions. He is a licensed provider of buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) for opioid addiction and offers genetic testing where appropriate.
