Kate Tansey, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Kate graduated with Honors from St. Louis University in St. Louis with a Master of Social Work degree. Her concentration was in Behavioral Health with a specialization in Family Therapy.
Kate also has extensive education, training and experience in the fields of substance abuse/addictions and compulsive disorders. Kate has worked in the mental/health substance abuse field for twenty-six years in the Saint Louis Metropolitan area.
Kate is known for a warm, relaxed and calm approach to counseling. Kate is an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means she utilizes a variety of orientations and therapies, according to the client’s individual needs. Kate’s approach involves genuine caring, acceptance and non-judgment. Kate works with clients from a strength-based, positive and affirming perspective. Kate works with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, other mental health disorders, unresolved emotional issues, self-esteem/ self-empowerment, grief and loss, relationship/family concerns and multiple other issues. Kate’s specialties also include working with clients with substance abuse/addictions and co-occurring disorders.
